Remote (UK)
£25-£27 per hour (Outside IR35)
3-Month Contract (subject to extension) | Fully Remote
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a busy architectural practice supporting the delivery of major UK residential housing developments.
This Architectural Technician role is ideal for someone with a strong house builder background who enjoys producing high-quality technical drawing packages and working on residential developments from planning through to construction.
The successful Architectural Technician will work remotely, supporting a range of live housing projects while producing detailed AutoCAD drawings to meet demanding project deadlines.
The Role
As an Architectural Technician, you'll be responsible for:
Producing detailed AutoCAD drawing packages for residential housing developments
Preparing technical drawings and construction information for live projects
Supporting projects from planning through to technical delivery
Producing working drawing packages in line with UK Building Regulations
Coordinating with architects, consultants and project teams
Updating drawings throughout the design and construction process
Ensuring documentation is accurate, coordinated and delivered to programme
Supporting the delivery of multiple residential projects simultaneously
This Architectural Technician position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale residential developments within a fully remote environment.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Architectural Technician with a strong volume house building background.
Ideally you'll have:
Previous experience as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist
Strong AutoCAD proficiency
Experience working for a UK house builder
Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and residential construction
Experience producing technical drawing packages for housing developments
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently within a remote team Experience working with developers such as Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon Homes, Barratt Homes or similar national house builders is essential.
