Steel Detailer

Location: Scotland / Hybrid / Remote (UK Based)

ARM Recruitment is currently supporting a key client in the search for an experienced Tekla Steel Framing Detailer to join their growing Technical Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in Light Gauge Steel (LGS) systems to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, 3D models, and manufacturing information to support both factory production and site installation teams.

This role offers flexibility, with hybrid or fully remote working available for UK-based candidates

• Produce detailed steel framing drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures and, where required,
  Revit
  .
• Interpret architectural and structural design information to develop practical and buildable steel framing solutions.
• Generate accurate manufacturing information, including:
• Steel member sizes
• Coordinate with Structural Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, Manufacturing Teams, and Site Teams.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with client specifications, building regulations, and manufacturing requirements.
• Process and issue material orders in line with project requirements.

• Strong understanding of Light Gauge Steel (LGS) framing systems
  , including infill and load-bearing applications.
• Minimum 3 years' experience detailing Light Gauge Steel structures using Tekla Structures, Revit, or similar software.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be based in the UK
