Senior Architect - Project Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Architect to take on a Project Lead role in their esteemed practice located in Mossel Bay. This senior position involves leading architectural projects from inception through to completion, managing project teams, client relations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative designs. You will play a crucial role in shaping the firm's design output and mentoring junior staff.

This hybrid role allows for focused work at home and collaborative engagement in the office, providing a balanced and productive work environment within a firm renowned for its significant contributions to the region's built environment and its supportive culture.

• Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, including client liaison, design development, and construction administration.
• Oversee and mentor project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and quality delivery.
• Develop and present design proposals, master plans, and detailed architectural solutions.
• Ensure projects comply with all relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
• Review construction documents and site progress to ensure adherence to design intent.

• A professional degree in Architecture and registration as a Professional Architect with SACAP.
• A minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience in architectural practice.
• Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering complex architectural projects.
• Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD , and other relevant architectural software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and projects in a hybrid work setting.
