Architectural BIM Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an expert Architectural BIM Specialist to drive the implementation and optimization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for projects based in Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal . This role is pivotal in enhancing design efficiency, collaboration, and project outcomes through advanced BIM technologies. You will be responsible for developing BIM standards, training staff, managing BIM models, and ensuring the successful integration of BIM throughout the project lifecycle.

This position requires a deep technical understanding of BIM software and workflows, combined with excellent communication and training skills to champion BIM adoption across the organization, making it an ideal role for remote experts passionate about digital construction.

• Develop and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.
• Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models to ensure data integrity and clash detection.
• Provide training and technical support to architects, designers, and technologists on BIM software and best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective utilization of BIM for design, documentation, and construction analysis.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in BIM technology and advocate for their adoption.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a BIM Specialist or in a similar BIM-focused role.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with a strong understanding of BIM principles.
• Experience with developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
