About the Role
Our client, an innovative design firm known for creating engaging retail experiences, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail Design Architect to join their team in East London . This role is perfect for a designer passionate about shaping commercial spaces that drive customer engagement and brand success. You will be involved in all stages of the design process, from conceptualization and space planning to technical documentation and site supervision for various retail clients.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong understanding of retail trends and commercial project requirements in the Eastern Cape .
- Develop innovative and functional design concepts for retail spaces, including shops, showrooms, and shopping centers.
- Create detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and visual presentations for client approval.
- Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines, commercial viability, and customer flow requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams, including graphic designers, brand consultants, and contractors.
- Manage project timelines and budgets for retail design projects.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure accurate implementation of designs in East London .
- A degree in Architecture or a related design field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural or interior design, with a focus on retail environments.
- Proven ability to create compelling and commercially successful retail designs.
- Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of materials, lighting, and spatial planning for retail applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
