Mechanical Layout Designer

Position: Mechanical Layout Designer - Hybrid Role
Drive innovation in plant design with DRA Global as a Senior Mechanical Layout Designer in Toronto or Montreal. This hybrid position involves creating high-standard 3D models and managing BIM workflows.

As a Senior Layout Designer for DRA Global, you'll focus on building and managing sophisticated 3D models for the processing plant industry. This role requires a solid understanding of design codes and the application of various modeling techniques. Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of all project elements and uphold quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and manage 3D models for comprehensive plant design

• Oversee connected BIM workflows for improved project collaboration

• Conduct regular reviews and reports on design quality and clash detection

• Update 3D models according to client requests and design changes

• Engage with vendor equipment information for accurate modeling

Requirements:

• Experience in EPCM-related roles

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Advance Steel

• Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM)

• Experience in animation using Navisworks

• Understanding of BIM 360 functionality is a plus
