About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Architect with a specialization in Urban Planning to join their esteemed practice in Rustenburg . This pivotal role will focus on designing and overseeing large-scale urban development projects, master planning initiatives, and community infrastructure designs. You will lead a team of architects and urban planners, ensuring that projects are innovative, sustainable, and responsive to the community's needs in the North West province.

• Lead the conceptualization and development of master plans for new urban developments and revitalization projects.
• Direct and manage architectural and planning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with local government authorities, community stakeholders, and developers to ensure project alignment and approvals.
• Develop strategies for sustainable urban design, including green spaces, transportation networks, and energy-efficient infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site analyses for potential development opportunities in Rustenburg .
• Present complex urban planning concepts and designs to diverse audiences, including public forums and governmental bodies.

• Registered Professional Architect with SACAP and a strong portfolio in urban design/planning.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice, with at least 5 years in a leadership or urban planning role.
• Expertise in urban design principles, land use planning, and zoning regulations.
• Proficiency with GIS software, Urbanistica , City Engine , and other relevant planning tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
