About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Architectural Technologist to join their distributed team. This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, focusing on technical documentation, drawing production, and ensuring the constructability of designs for projects across South Africa. You will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts into practical, buildable plans, working closely with architects and project managers in a fully remote setting.
We seek a proactive individual who excels in digital collaboration and is committed to delivering high-quality technical documentation regardless of geographical location, contributing to projects that are both innovative and efficient.
- Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications using Revit and other relevant software.
- Ensure designs comply with National Building Regulations and relevant standards.
- Assist architects in developing design solutions and preparing tender documents.
- Coordinate with consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical engineers) for integrated designs.
- Conduct technical reviews of design proposals and construction documents.
- Manage digital project files and ensure version control and accessibility for the remote team.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio.
- High proficiency in BIM software (especially Revit) and AutoCAD.
- Excellent understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setup.
