Senior Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to lead technical design and documentation efforts for exciting projects in Richards Bay . You will be instrumental in ensuring the technical feasibility and accuracy of designs, bridging the gap between conceptual design and construction execution. This senior role requires a deep understanding of building technologies, materials, and regulatory compliance, as well as strong leadership and collaboration skills.

You will mentor junior staff, manage technical aspects of projects, and work closely with architects and engineers to deliver high-quality, buildable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead the development of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and building information models (BIM).
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in Richards Bay .
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving during design development and construction phases.
• Coordinate and liaise with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior architectural technologists and designers, fostering technical excellence within the team.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Extensive experience as an Architectural Technologist , with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Expertise in BIM software (e.g., Revit) and advanced CAD skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and South African building regulations.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex design documentation.
