Architectural Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Architectural Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance on a contract basis, servicing projects in and around Paarl . This role involves evaluating design proposals, offering solutions to complex architectural challenges, and ensuring projects meet regulatory, aesthetic, and functional goals. You will act as a key advisor to project teams and clients, leveraging your extensive knowledge and experience to enhance project outcomes within the Western Cape .

The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mind and a proven track record in architectural problem-solving.

• Provide expert architectural advice on design, planning, and construction matters.
• Review and critique architectural designs and technical documentation.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for architectural challenges.
• Advise on compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and heritage requirements.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate architectural solutions and technologies.
• Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Extensive experience as a practicing Architect or Architectural Consultant.
• Proven track record in providing strategic architectural advice.
• Deep understanding of South African building regulations and planning processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.
• Ability to work independently and manage consultative engagements effectively.
