About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Remote Sustainable Architect to join their globally distributed team, working primarily on projects based in or related to Port Elizabeth , though physical location is not a constraint. This role is dedicated to advancing environmentally responsible design practices across our portfolio. You will be responsible for integrating sustainable principles, materials, and technologies into architectural projects, ensuring reduced environmental impact and enhanced building performance.

- Lead the integration of sustainable design strategies and green building principles into all phases of architectural projects.
- Conduct energy modeling, life cycle assessments, and other environmental performance analyses.
- Research and recommend sustainable materials, technologies, and building systems.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and consultants remotely to ensure sustainability goals are met.
- Prepare reports and documentation for green building certifications (e.g., LEED, Green Star).
- Stay current with emerging trends and regulations in sustainable architecture and environmental design.
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a significant focus on sustainable architecture and green building design.
- Professional certification such as LEED AP, Green Star SA Associate, or similar.
- Proficiency in architectural design software and familiarity with energy modeling tools.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and building performance metrics.
