About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Draughtsperson to join their esteemed practice in Durban . You will play a crucial role in producing precise technical drawings and documentation essential for the design and construction phases of various projects. Working under the guidance of architects, you will utilize your technical skills to translate design concepts into buildable plans. This role is ideal for a motivated individual keen to contribute to impactful projects within the vibrant coastal city of Durban , offering a fully remote work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities- Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD and BIM software.
- Assist architects in the preparation of design development documents and construction drawings.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, to scale, and meet project specifications and building regulations .
- Coordinate with project teams to incorporate revisions and updates into drawings promptly.
- Prepare drawing lists, schedules, and basic specifications as directed by the project architect.
- Maintain organized digital and physical drawing archives for easy retrieval and reference.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit or ArchiCAD is a significant advantage.
- A strong understanding of architectural drafting standards and conventions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret architectural sketches and design briefs effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with project team members in a remote setting .
- A relevant qualification in Architectural Draughting or a related technical field.
