Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Architectural Assistant to join their esteemed practice in George . This role is perfect for an early-career professional eager to learn and contribute to a variety of architectural projects, from conceptual design through to construction documentation. You will work closely with senior architects and technologists, gaining invaluable hands‑on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This position offers a hybrid work model, blending the benefits of office-based teamwork and mentorship with the flexibility of remote work.
- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, models, and presentations using CAD and BIM software.
- Support senior team members in developing design concepts and visualisations.
- Help coordinate project documentation and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct research on building materials, building codes , and regulatory requirements as needed.
- Participate in site visits and assist with measuring and documenting existing conditions.
- Maintain digital and physical project files, ensuring efficient organization and accessibility.
- Completed degree or diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
- Foundational knowledge of architectural design principles and practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic familiarity with Revit is essential.
- Strong visual, graphic, and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a professional setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute positively to projects.
