At Amey, we're passionate about creating a better future through infrastructure. Our Consulting team partners with organisations such as National Highways and Network Rail to deliver engineering, environmental and sustainability solutions that improve how people live, work and travel across the UK.
From nationally significant programmes worth millions of pounds to local projects that improve everyday journeys and environments, our work makes a real difference. As a graduate, you'll be involved in meaningful projects from day one, developing practical skills, learning from industry experts and helping shape the future of the UK's infrastructure.
About the TeamThe Landscape team sits within Amey Consulting’s Climate & Place practice, part of the Energy, Transition & Sustainability (ET&S) business. We bring together landscape architecture, climate resilience and placemaking expertise to create attractive, inclusive and sustainable places that respond positively to environmental change. Working across infrastructure, transport, energy and development projects, the team helps clients embed green infrastructure, biodiversity, resilience and long-term value into the design and management of places.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Landscape Architect to develop their career within an enthusiastic and supportive team of landscape professionals. You will contribute to projects across the UK, helping to shape climate-resilient places through public realm design, landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA), landscape strategies, green infrastructure and detailed planting design. Supported by experienced colleagues, you will gain practical experience across the full project lifecycle, from early concepts and assessment through to detailed design, specification and site delivery.
The role will be supported by Amey’s hybrid working approach, with time split between the Birmingham office, project sites where required, and remote working where appropriate. This flexible arrangement will allow the successful candidate to collaborate closely with colleagues, receive regular support and mentoring, and build confidence as they develop towards an Assistant Landscape Architect role.
