Architectural Designer - Urban Planning

Our client is seeking a creative and analytical Architectural Designer with a specialization in Urban Planning to join their collaborative team in Polokwane . This role focuses on the strategic design and development of urban environments, contributing to the creation of functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing public spaces and master plans. You will work on diverse projects ranging from neighborhood revitalization to large-scale urban developments, bridging the gap between architectural design and urban policy.

• Develop urban design concepts and master plans for diverse development projects.
• Conduct site analysis, context research, and feasibility studies for urban interventions.
• Prepare urban design guidelines, zoning recommendations, and policy frameworks.
• Collaborate with urban planners, landscape architects, engineers, and community stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality visual representations, including renderings, diagrams, and presentations.
• Ensure designs respond to social, economic, environmental, and cultural contexts.

• Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Urban Design or Urban Planning.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design with a focus on urban planning and design.
• Proficiency in urban design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and public space design.
• Excellent analytical, research, and graphic communication skills.
