Senior Architect - Sustainable & Urban Design

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Architect with expertise in Sustainable Design and Urban Planning to join their forward-thinking practice. This pivotal role, based remotely but serving projects across the country, focuses on developing and implementing environmentally conscious architectural solutions and contributing to resilient urban development strategies. You will lead design concept development, engage with clients on sustainability goals, and ensure projects adhere to the highest standards of ecological responsibility and urban integration.

• Lead the conceptualization and development of sustainable architectural designs and urban planning strategies.
• Integrate green building principles, renewable energy solutions, and resource-efficient systems into project designs.
• Conduct site analysis, environmental impact assessments, and feasibility studies for sustainable developments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including urban planners, environmental consultants, and engineers, to achieve holistic design outcomes.
• Engage with clients to define sustainability objectives and guide them through certification processes (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
• Develop and present design proposals, reports, and sustainability strategies to clients and stakeholders, leveraging virtual communication tools effectively.

• Professional Architect (PrArch) qualification or equivalent international accreditation.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in architectural practice, with a significant focus on sustainable design and urban planning.
• Demonstrated expertise in green building technologies, passive design strategies, and lifecycle assessment.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and advanced visualization/simulation software.
• Strong understanding of urban design principles, placemaking, and community engagement strategies.
• Excellent remote collaboration, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects and teams virtually.
