Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Architectural Technologist to join their fully remote team, supporting projects nationwide. In this crucial role, you will translate architectural concepts into detailed technical documentation, ensuring compliance with all building codes and standards. You will work autonomously and collaboratively with design teams and contractors, leveraging technology to produce high-quality construction drawings and specifications. This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the challenge of contributing to significant architectural endeavors across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed construction drawings , plans, and specifications using advanced CAD software.
- Ensure all architectural documentation complies with current building regulations, local bylaws, and national standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and external consultants to resolve technical design challenges.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews of designs and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage and organize project documentation, ensuring easy access and version control for all team members.
- Provide technical support and advice to construction teams during the building process, virtually.
- A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio of technical documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; BIM coordination experience is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of South African building codes, materials, and construction techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, adept at remote collaboration tools.
