Senior Architectural Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Architectural Technician to join their remote team, contributing to projects across various locations, including but not limited to Klerksdorp . This role is focused on translating architectural designs into accurate, buildable construction drawings and technical specifications. You will work closely with architects and project managers to ensure technical accuracy and constructability, playing a key part in the successful delivery of high-quality architectural projects.

The position requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a remote work environment, ensuring project timelines are met.

• Produce detailed construction drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules using CAD and BIM software .
• Coordinate technical details with engineers and other consultants to ensure seamless integration of services.
• Ensure all drawings and specifications comply with South African National Standards (SANS) and local authority regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to verify progress and adherence to design documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and drafters in the team.

• National Diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience as an Architectural Technician or Technologist.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and communicate clearly in a remote setting .
