Remote Tourism Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and resourceful Remote Tourism Experience Designer to craft unique travel packages and experiences for clients in the Randburg area and beyond. This hybrid role combines remote work flexibility with occasional on-site requirements for client meetings or site inspections. You will be instrumental in developing innovative itineraries that highlight the best of what South Africa has to offer, focusing on unique activities, cultural immersion, and exceptional guest satisfaction.

This position is ideal for a visionary individual with a deep understanding of the tourism landscape and a talent for designing memorable journeys, working within a collaborative hybrid model.

• Design and develop unique, high-quality tourism experiences and itineraries tailored to client specifications.
• Conduct research on destinations, attractions, accommodations, and activities to curate exceptional offerings.
• Collaborate with local suppliers and partners to negotiate rates and ensure service quality.
• Create compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients, showcasing designed experiences.
• Manage the logistics and operational details of booked tours and experiences.
• Gather client feedback post-trip to continuously improve and innovate offerings.

• Proven experience in tourism, travel planning, or experience design, preferably with a portfolio of designed tours.
• In-depth knowledge of South African destinations and tourism attractions.
• Excellent research, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities with suppliers.
• Proficiency in travel booking systems and presentation software.
• Ability to work effectively both independently in a remote setting and collaboratively on-site.
