Lead Architectural Drafter

Our client, an innovative architectural firm, is looking for a Lead Architectural Drafter to join their remote-first team, serving clients nationwide including those in Vereeniging . In this senior role, you will be responsible for overseeing the drafting process, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all technical drawings and documentation. You will lead a team of drafters, mentor junior staff, and collaborate closely with architects and project managers to translate design concepts into buildable plans.

This position is ideal for an experienced drafter who excels in a remote setting and possesses strong leadership capabilities.

• Lead and manage a team of architectural drafters, assigning tasks and ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain drafting standards and procedures for accuracy and consistency.
• Produce highly detailed architectural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD for various project stages.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to resolve design conflicts and ensure technical integrity.
• Review drawings prepared by the team for quality control and compliance.
• Mentor and train junior drafters, fostering skill development and team growth.

• Significant experience as an Architectural Drafter, with a proven track record of leading teams.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively manage workloads and deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Experience with BIM coordination and documentation is highly advantageous.
