Remote Lead Architect - Sustainable Design Specialist

• Spearhead the design and development of sustainable architectural strategies for projects across various sectors.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of architects and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on sustainable materials, technologies, and best practices.
• Develop detailed architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents with a strong emphasis on environmental performance.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and consultants remotely to integrate sustainable design principles seamlessly into project workflows.
• Perform energy modeling, life cycle assessments, and other performance analyses to optimize building efficiency.
• Present design concepts and sustainability reports to clients and stakeholders using advanced digital communication tools.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and regulations in sustainable architecture and green building certifications (e.g., LEED, Green Star SA).
• Ensure the successful implementation of sustainable design features during the construction phase through remote oversight and consultation.
• Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing within the firm regarding sustainable architectural practices.

• Master's degree in Architecture or a related field, with a specialization in Sustainable Design or Environmental Architecture.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years focused specifically on sustainable and green building projects.
• Professional registration with SACAP is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design principles, building science, and performance analysis tools (e.g., Ecotect, Energy Plus).
• Proven ability to lead and manage remote teams and complex projects effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Revit) and other relevant design and visualization tools.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client management skills, adapted for a remote work environment.
• Experience with international green building rating systems.
• A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful sustainable architectural projects is essential.
• Self-motivated and disciplined with excellent time management skills, capable of working autonomously.
