It provides an impact reporting platform combined with expert services, enabling organizations to collect, analyze, and share data, gain insights, and tell their stories to inspire change.###
The role
This Senior Product Designer role sits within the Product department and reports to the Lead Product Designer. You would work as a core member of a small, nimble development pod alongside a product manager and an engineering lead, taking genuine ownership of design from early discovery through to shipped product. The role covers the full platform, including both iterative improvements to existing features and the creation of entirely new, 0-to-1 product lines.###
What you would do
* Lead end-to-end design across the platform, from research and discovery through to high-fidelity execution and developer handoff.
* Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesis to inform product decisions and shape product strategy.
* Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that raise the visual and interaction bar for the whole product.
* Define and implement UX/UI patterns and contribute to the design system.
* Run design sprints and workshops to work through complex problems.
* Drive the use of personas throughout the product development process and maintain deep domain knowledge of the market.
* Collaborate with the product manager and engineering team on strategy, execution, and maintaining design artifacts in a scrum process.
* Use AI tools (such as LLMs, Claude Code, Codex) in your design practice where they can improve or reshape the work.### What they are looking for
* A degree in Design or a related field (Cognitive Science, Psychology, Computer Science, HCI, Human Factors, Information Science, or Information Design).
* 6 or more years of product design experience.
* Experience designing B2B or enterprise SaaS products.
* Ability to own the full design arc independently, including running research across a range of methodologies.
* Strong visual design skills in typography, color, and hierarchy, at a level that raises the standard for the whole product.
* Deep Figma fluency, including component libraries, auto-layout, and developer-ready handoff.
* Comfort using AI tools in your design practice and an interest in finding new ways they can reshape it.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience partnering with product managers and engineers in an agile environment.
* Experience working directly with engineering in a scrum process.
* Desirable: experience designing products that involve collecting, analyzing, reporting, or sharing data and insights.
* Desirable: experience designing AI features with attention to explainability, confidence signals, and graceful failure.### Working arrangements
The role is fully remote and open to candidates based in the United States. The San Francisco Bay Area is preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States;
UpMetrics is unable to sponsor employment visas.### Pay and benefits
* Annual salary of $120,000 - $145,000, based on experience.

* Dental and vision insurance.
* Fully paid life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
* Fully paid short- and long-term disability insurance.
* Unlimited time off, plus paid holidays and monthly Wellness Fridays.
* Paid parental leave, available after one year of employment.
