Aircraft Interior Refurbishment Specialist; Remote

Our client, a bespoke aviation interior design and refurbishment company, is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Aircraft Interior Refurbishment Specialist to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role focuses on the remote oversight, project management, and technical consultation for the refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors, including seats, galleys, lavatories, and sidewalls. You will collaborate closely with clients, design teams, and MRO facilities to ensure that refurbishment projects meet exacting standards of quality, aesthetics, and functionality.

This position requires a strong understanding of aviation regulations pertaining to cabin interiors, materials, and finishes, as well as excellent project management skills. You will leverage digital tools for design review, material selection, and progress tracking, ensuring seamless execution of projects from initial concept to final delivery. Your expertise will be key in delivering luxurious and compliant cabin environments for private and commercial aircraft.

• Provide remote technical expertise and project management for aircraft interior refurbishment projects.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to define refurbishment scope, materials, and finishes.
• Review and approve interior design mock-ups, material samples, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all refurbishment work complies with aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA, SACAA) and OEM specifications.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation from a remote standpoint.
• Liaise with MRO facilities and workshops to coordinate and monitor refurbishment progress.
• Conduct remote quality inspections and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to interior components and installations.
• Maintain project documentation, including status reports, change orders, and completion records.
• Stay current with trends in aircraft interior design, materials, and certification requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft interior design, refurbishment, or project management.
• Strong understanding of aircraft cabin systems, materials, finishes, and relevant aviation regulations.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for remote client and team interaction.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality and aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience with aviation certification processes is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
