Senior Architectural Technologist - Remote First

Our client, a forward-thinking design and development firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team. • Develop and produce detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD).
• Collaborate effectively with project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring seamless integration of technical information.
• Conduct site visits and surveys as required to gather necessary information and verify existing conditions, ensuring all designs are contextually appropriate.
• Prepare and present technical reports, feasibility studies, and design development documentation to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the design and documentation process.
• Manage and coordinate the work of junior technicians and external consultants to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and support the construction administration phase, responding to site queries and reviewing shop drawings.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards and methodologies within the team.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a proven track record on significant projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, is essential. Strong command of AutoCAD and other relevant design software is also required.
• In-depth knowledge of South African building regulations, National Building Regulations (N ), and SANS codes.
• Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders in a remote setting.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a remote work environment.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of technically complex projects is highly desirable.
