Remote Senior BIM Coordinator; Infrastructure

Our client is a globally recognised leader in the construction and engineering sector, seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior BIM Coordinator to join their cutting-edge, remote-first team. This pivotal role focuses on the strategic implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes for large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enforcing BIM standards, coordinating models, and ensuring seamless information flow across multidisciplinary project teams, all while working from the comfort of their own home.

This position is critical for driving efficiency, collaboration, and innovation in our digital construction workflows. Develop, implement, and manage BIM execution plans (BEPs) and project-specific BIM workflows. Coordinate and federate multidisciplinary BIM models (architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure) using software like Navisworks. Lead clash detection processes and facilitate resolution meetings with project teams to address design conflicts proactively. Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and quality control procedures to ensure model integrity and data accuracy. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on BIM software and best practices.

Train and mentor junior BIM staff and project team members on BIM technologies and workflows. Manage the content and library of BIM objects and families, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, to ensure BIM requirements are met. Stay abreast of the latest BIM technologies, software updates, and industry trends, recommending improvements to existing workflows.

Ensure compliance with project-specific and company-wide BIM standards and protocols in a remote environment.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in BIM coordination and management, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure projects. Proven expertise in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant platforms. Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure design and construction processes. Experience in developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans and project BIM standards.

Excellent knowledge of clash detection, model federation, and BIM data management. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, essential for a remote role. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a distributed team environment. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a fully remote setting, utilizing collaboration tools and maintaining high productivity.
