Residential Design Architect

Our client, an established architectural firm recognized for its elegant residential designs, is seeking a talented Residential Design Architect. Located in the vibrant community of Paarl, Western Cape , this role focuses on creating bespoke homes and residential developments that blend modern aesthetics with functional living spaces. You will be involved in all phases of design, from initial client consultations and conceptualization through to detailed construction documentation.

Lead the design process for custom homes and residential developments. Conduct client consultations to understand their needs, lifestyle, and design preferences. Develop creative and functional architectural concepts and produce detailed design documentation. Prepare 3D models and visual representations to aid client decision-making. Ensure designs comply with residential building codes, zoning regulations, and estate guidelines. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and interior designers to ensure seamless project execution.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations throughout the design phase. Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in residential architecture and interior design. Oversee the preparation of construction drawings and specifications.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential architectural design. A strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality residential projects. Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and rendering software. Thorough understanding of residential building codes and regulations in the Western Cape . Excellent design skills, with a keen eye for detail, proportion, and aesthetics.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively. Experience in luxury residential design is a plus. Familiarity with the architectural styles and context of the Paarl region is beneficial.
