Job Description & How to Apply Below
Job Description:
We are seeking a BIM Designer to support BIM modeling, coordination, and model setup efforts for electrical and ICT (Information & Communications Technology) systems on large-scale projects, with an initial focus on data centers. This is a production-focused support role best suited for someone with strong Revit experience who enjoys developing and maintaining BIM models rather than performing engineering design. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, BIM coordinators, and other trade partners to develop and maintain high-quality BIM models, support coordination efforts, and ensure project standards are followed.
The primary focus will be on electrical BIM modeling, while also supporting ICT systems and layouts as needed. Candidates with backgrounds in electrical BIM modeling, electrical design support, or ICT/telecommunications drafting and modeling are encouraged to apply.
Work Environment and Projects:
+ 100% remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S.
+ Flexible work hours with emphasis on availability during core business hours
+ Optional office access available in Colorado and Florida
+ Join a collaborative BIM team of 6 professionals supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects
+ Initial project focus will be data center work, with opportunities to gain exposure to a variety of commercial, institutional, industrial, and government projects over time
Why You Should Be Interested:
+ Fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling
+ Generous PTO package totaling 250 hours annually
+ Additional PTO accrual based on tenure
+ Company shutdown between Christmas and New Year's
+ Employee-focused culture dedicated to career growth, mentorship, and long-term success
+ Continuing education support and professional development assistance
Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical and ICT systems
+ Set up BIM models and ensure compliance with project standards and workflows
+ Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trade partners throughout project execution
+ Review and incorporate redlines and design revisions into project models
+ Support 3D coordination meetings and clash detection processes
+ Perform drafting and design updates within Revit
+ Assist project teams with model quality control and coordination efforts
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery
+ Support the design team through BIM modeling and documentation; this role is not responsible for performing system design
Qualifications:
Must Have
+ 1-10 years of BIM experience, with 4-6 years preferred
+ Strong understanding of electrical systems, including circuiting, electrical connectivity, work sets, and Revit-based documentation
+ Experience creating and managing Revit schedules, model content, families, and equipment modeling
+ Hands-on experience with clash detection, interdisciplinary coordination, and resolving model conflicts across multiple trades
+ Ability to support design teams through BIM coordination and model development without serving as the primary system designer
+ Experience collaborating on commercial, data center, healthcare, industrial, or other large-scale construction/design projects
