. This role focuses on creating beautiful, functional, and site-sensitive homes that complement the unique coastal environment. You will be involved in all stages of the design process, from initial concept development and client presentations to the preparation of detailed construction documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and a passion for residential architecture, particularly within scenic settings.

• Develop innovative architectural designs for coastal residential properties.
• Prepare conceptual designs, sketches, and 3D models to communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and translate it into cohesive designs.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Select appropriate materials and finishes that are both aesthetically pleasing and suitable for coastal conditions.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and other consultants as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of specifications and tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and ensure design intent is met during construction.
• Stay updated on current design trends and building technologies relevant to residential architecture.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on residential projects.
• A portfolio showcasing strong conceptual design skills and attractive residential projects.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Understanding of design principles suitable for coastal environments (e.g., ventilation, natural light, material durability).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to design quality.
• Knowledge of local building regulations in East London is beneficial.
