Remote UI​/UX Design Apprentice

Our client, an innovative digital product studio with a global client base, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Apprentice to join their fully remote team, supporting their operations connected to Nelspruit . This is an outstanding chance for aspiring designers to learn the principles of user interface and user experience design and apply them to real-world digital products. You will work closely with senior designers and product teams, contributing to the design process from concept to final implementation, all from your home office.

• Assist in creating user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Support the design of intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and insights.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into design solutions.
• Learn and apply design thinking principles and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides.
• Create visual assets, icons, and other design elements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated on the latest UI/UX design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Ensure designs are consistent across different platforms and devices.

• A strong portfolio showcasing design concepts and projects (personal or academic).
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development concepts (HTML/CSS) is a plus.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, adept at remote teamwork.
• A matric certificate or equivalent.
• A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field is advantageous.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa and comfortable working remotely.
