Senior UX​/UI Designer

Our client, a rapidly growing digital agency based in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa Zulu-Natal , is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join their dynamic creative team. This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience of innovative digital products and services for a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional design solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.

You will be instrumental in driving user-centered design processes, from initial concept through to final implementation, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for end-users. • Conduct user research, persona development, and user journey mapping to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure brand consistency.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive user interfaces.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs.
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest UX/UI trends, best practices, and technologies.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design culture within the team.

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful UX/UI design projects.
