Radiology - Interventional Physician

Locum Interventional Radiologist

Seeking a Locum Interventional Radiologist beginning February 2026, with an initial 3 6 month assignment and the possibility to extend based on ongoing needs. This opportunity supports coverage due to two departing providers and offers a mix of onsite and remote work in a hospital-based setting.

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

• One onsite day dedicated to diagnostic breast imaging

• Remote/teleradiology possible 2 3 days per week (TBD)

Practice Setting & Environment

• Hospital-based practice with some remote coverage

• Annual ED volume: approximately 120 patients per day

• Radiology team: 8 physicians currently, transitioning to 6 after February

• Full complement of support staff

• EMR/Systems:
  Epic, Power Scribe, PACS

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: days

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnostic reads including:

  • Mammography

  • CT

  • PET/CT

  • Nuclear Medicine

  • Ultrasound

  • Pediatric studies

  • MRI (basic neuro, brain, spine, MSK, MS)

• Interventional procedures:

  • Interventional breast and thyroid FNAs

• Patient population: adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric

Provider Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology

• Active Massachusetts license or proof of application submitted at least 3 months prior

• ACLS and BLS certifications required
