Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Opportunity – Taunton, MA
Hospital (affiliated with DMH) seeks Board certified or eligible psychiatrists for full time attending positions in a general adult psychiatric unit. Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited (JCAHO) hospital operated by the Southeast Area of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
Attend on a 166 bed continuing & acute care facility, providing inpatient services to adults and geriatrics, as well as forensic evaluations. On call available for extra compensation, but not required.
The caseload for a full-time psychiatrist on one of the DMH inpatient units is approximately 16 patients. No managed care. Weekend/night call is not required, although shifts are available
Psychiatrists have the option of becoming full time faculty of the Tufts University School of Medicine and Tufts-New England Medical Center
