Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologist
Hughston Medical Group is currently seeking a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologist to join our group of Specialty Professionals. Fellowship in MSK Radiology required; both fellows and experienced candidates invited to apply.
License: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Hughston Clinic is a nationally and internationally recognized center of excellence for research, education and training, and quality treatment of musculoskeletal injury and disease. Hughston locations offer strong infrastructure and a team to maximize clinical efficiencies, existing referral sources, and convenient access to hospitals we service with vertical integration. We are responsible for ensuring that our patients receive only the highest quality treatment for musculoskeletal injury and disease, including understanding all aspects of human performance and applying techniques and procedures learned through research and training to improve quality of life for everyone.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Diagnose and treat diseases:
Support the Hughston organization by analyzing medical images to identify and monitor diseases and injuries and use image-guided techniques for treatment. - Operate and interpret imaging equipment:
Work with various imaging technologies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds. - Document and report findings:
Prepare detailed reports summarizing diagnostic findings and patient care activities for other physicians. - Perform image-guided procedures:
Conduct minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging technology, such as biopsies or treatment plans. - Collaborate with other professionals:
Work closely with other doctors and medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and proper patient care. - Maintain professional competence:
Engage in continuing education to stay up to date on the latest imaging techniques and medical knowledge. - Ensure patient care:
Manage clinical aspects of care, including patient history, physical exams, and providing patient counseling.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of a four-year residency program in radiology.
- Valid medical license and board certification in Radiology.
- Proficiency in interpreting medical images and using advanced imaging techniques.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and diagnostic skills.
- Commitment to patient care, safety, and medical ethics.

- Collaborate closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, General Surgeons, Hospitalists, and emergency medical teams.
- Focus on maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and consistent report turnaround times (TAT).
Remote position Full Time
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, on-call weekend coverage requirements

Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital (Phenix City, AL.) and Hughston Clinic (Columbus, GA.)
Education:
MSK Radiology Fellowship Required
