Physician Assistant Psychiatry

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Treat acute and chronic medical conditions with an emphasis on psychopharmacology.
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
• Perform psychiatric medical examinations (mental status exam).
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
• Communicate with collaborating physicians and allied health professionals regarding patient care.
• Accurate documentation.
• Using computer applications (eClinical
  
  Works).
• Coding and filling out insurance forms.
• Scheduling follow‑up appointments.

Qualifications:

• NPI
• NYS license
• Two letters of reference

Compensation / Salary:

• Required 2 weeks of training at $65.00 per hour – non‑negotiable (after training salary can be negotiated).
• Travel compensation can be negotiated.
• Working from home can be negotiated after 90 days of service.
