Part-Time Physician Assistant – Rheumatology Clinic

Location: Nashville, TN

We are a well-established, patient-focused Rheumatology clinic committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for individuals with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Our team is dedicated to excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management of chronic rheumatic diseases in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA‑C) to join our team on a part‑time basis. The ideal candidate will have an interest or experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related field and a strong desire to work in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical exams
  • Assist with diagnosing and managing rheumatologic conditions (e.g., RA, lupus, gout, OA)
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
  • Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with the Rheumatologist
  • Provide patient education on disease management and medications
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
Qualifications
  • Current and valid Physician Assistant license in Tennessee
  • Certification by the NCCPA
  • Prior experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty preferred (but not required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • EMR proficiency (Next Gen preferred) and strong clinical judgment
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care
Schedule
  • Part‑time: 3–4 days per week with potential to progress to full time
  • No weekends or major holidays
  • NO CALL
  • 1–2 days/week of telemedicine (work from home) after initial training
