Part-Time Physician Assistant – Rheumatology Clinic

Our team is dedicated to excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management of chronic rheumatic diseases in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA‑C) to join our team on a part‑time basis. The ideal candidate will have an interest or experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related field and a strong desire to work in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient histories and physical exams
- Assist with diagnosing and managing rheumatologic conditions (e.g., RA, lupus, gout, OA)
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with the Rheumatologist
- Provide patient education on disease management and medications
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
- Current and valid Physician Assistant license in Tennessee
- Certification by the NCCPA
- Prior experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty preferred (but not required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- EMR proficiency (Next Gen preferred) and strong clinical judgment
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care
- Part‑time: 3–4 days per week with potential to progress to full time
- No weekends or major holidays
- NO CALL
- 1–2 days/week of telemedicine (work from home) after initial training
