The Clinical Informatics Director (MD/DO) provides strategic leadership and clinical expertise to guide the design, development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise clinical information systems. This role serves as a senior clinical informatics authority, ensuring alignment between clinical workflows, technology solutions, evidence-based practice, and organizational goals. The Director leads clinical decision support initiatives, drives process refinement, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality care through informatics innovation.
This position may oversee clinical informatics teams and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on clinical technology strategy.
- MA/MS degree minimum with 10 years of experience in clinical informatics leadership roles.
- MD or DO licensure with active, valid physician credentials.
- Board certification in Clinical Informatics.
- Demonstrated leadership in the development, implementation, and management of clinical information systems, including clinical decision support, documentation workflows, and process optimization.
