We are seeking an experienced General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in Maryland. This opportunity starts Feb 1, 2026, with a 35-day assignment length and requires 24-hour in-house shifts, including 4-5 such shifts in February. The position involves emergency general surgery cases with the expectation to continue assignments through August if needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide emergency general surgery coverage during 24-hour in-house shifts
• Manage a range of acute surgical cases and emergencies as required by the hospital
• Respond promptly to surgical consults and emergencies
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols

Additional Information

• Active Maryland medical license required
• Board certification in General Surgery required
