Position: Consultant Radiologist with a GI/HPB radiology interest

Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Clinical Radiology Consultant with an interest in Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepato‑Pancreato‑Biliary (HPB) imaging to join the Radiology Department of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be part of a team of nine full‑time GI/HPB radiologists within a larger radiology group of 22 members, working across both NUH campuses and close with many clinical and surgical disciplines.

Duties
  • Support a range of services including CT, MRI, plain radiograph reporting, interventional procedures, ultrasound and multidisciplinary team and clinical‑radiological meetings.
  • On‑call reporting and use of a modern home‑reporting workstation for remote work days.
  • Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
  • Engage in research with the Biomedical Research Centre and Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre at the University of Nottingham.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration and eligibility to be included on the Specialist Register; CCT expected within 6 months of interview date.
  • Appropriate experience with specialist diagnostic/interventional techniques and a track record in research.
  • Desirable: MRCP, MRCS or other professional or higher qualification; specific training in patient safety, human factors, communication skills, and sub‑specialty non‑vascular interventional competencies.
