Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a licence to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.

Applications are welcome for the above permanent, full time post based in Western General Hospital and St John’s Hospital.
NHS Lothian are seeking a motivated, skilled radiologist to join our team of more than 30 radiologists based at the Western General (Edinburgh) and St John’s (Livingston) Hospitals.
You will have all the skills expected of a general radiologist, particularly cross-sectional imaging, and a specialist area of interest suitable to the department will be considered. Gi and uroradiology expertise would be particularly desirable, along with the ability to perform image guide biopsy and drainage and /or more complex non-vascular interventional procedures.
You will contribute to the on-call rota, which comes with access to a home workstation. This can also be used for home working for some of your normal working week.
It is essential you are registered with the GMC, have a licence to practice and be either on, or within 6 months of eligibility of admission to the specialist register at time of interview.
