Position: Bilingual Psychiatrist (English/French) – Virtual Veteran Medical Cannabis Consultations in Quebec
Location: Québec City

Job Description

This is a remote position.

MDSearch is seeking bilingual Psychiatrists (English/French) licensed in Quebec to provide virtual specialist consultations for military veterans and RCMP members receiving medical cannabis treatment.

Consultations are requested when additional specialist input is required regarding a patient's prescribed medical cannabis dosage and coverage considerations through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). The Psychiatrist will independently assess the Veteran's mental health condition, review relevant clinical information, and provide a clinical opinion regarding the appropriateness of the current treatment plan and dosage.

This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to support Canada's veteran community through entirely virtual care.


Compensation:

$500–$750 per IME

Key Details:

  • Work Setting: 100% Virtual
  • Schedule:

    Minimum 1 day (or 2 half days) per week, or equivalent of ~10 patients/week
  • Patient Volume: ~3–4 patients/hour

Requirements:

  • Licensure required:
    Candidates must be licensed to practice in Quebec.
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Experience working with members of the military community preferred
  • Background in trauma-related mental health (PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc.)
  • Experience writing IMEs is an asset but not required
