Position: Psychiatrist for Northwest Psychiatry Team
Northern Health is looking for a psychiatrist dedicated to supporting the Prince Rupert community and surrounding areas. This position features flexibility with remote work options while focusing on patient care and collaboration with other health professionals.
As a member of the Northwest Psychiatry Team, based primarily at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital, you’ll be responsible for patient assessments, treatment planning, and continuous education for local physicians and mental health teams. Contribute to an impactful continuum of psychiatric services within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct complete patient assessments and develop personalized treatment strategies

• Provide consultation and education to physicians

• Work with interdisciplinary mental health professionals

• Partake in community-based psychiatric services

• Assess patients as needed in the observation unit at the hospital
Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in psychiatry with necessary certification

• Background in mental health service delivery

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for community mental health

• Flexibility to work remotely and visit working sites
