Role Context

This role applies frontline hospital medicine expertise to the evaluation of structured and unstructured healthcare data. Rather than providing direct bedside care, the Hospitalist Physician will examine inpatient documentation and clinical datasets used for quality evaluation and AI training. Sound clinical judgment is essential for detecting unsupported conclusions, conflicting information, incomplete histories, and documentation gaps that could reduce the reliability of medical data.

The physician 's work will directly support stronger clinical data quality and more dependable healthcare‑focused AI systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review inpatient medical records, clinical notes, and FHIR-based healthcare data against defined project standards.
  • Determine whether diagnoses, clinical findings, treatments, and medical claims are supported by information contained in the patient record.
  • Examine History of Present Illness, Past Medical History, assessments, treatment plans, and related inpatient documentation for clinical consistency.
  • Detect missing information, contradictory statements, unsupported conclusions, and documentation inaccuracies.
  • Assess medical records for completeness while maintaining a strong understanding of hospital workflows and clinical decision‑making.
  • Apply established review rubrics and evaluation criteria consistently across different cases and inpatient specialties.
  • Produce concise, clinically meaningful feedback explaining documentation or data‑quality concerns.
  • Support quality assurance activities by identifying recurring discrepancies and potential weaknesses within reviewed datasets.
  • Escalate complex clinical cases or ambiguous documentation appropriately and communicate findings clearly to the project team.
  • Maintain rigorous accuracy and consistency while handling detailed medical information in a remote working environment.
  • Contribute physician expertise to healthcare AI training and evaluation activities without compromising established clinical review standards.
Ideal Profile
  • MD or DO degree with appropriate postgraduate medical training.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
  • Current or recent inpatient or hospitalist practice, with relevant clinical experience within the previous 2 years.
  • Strong working knowledge of hospital documentation, inpatient workflows, and medical record interpretation.
  • Practical understanding of HPI, PMH, clinical assessments, treatment plans, and other core components of inpatient records.
  • Ability to interpret FHIR-based information and structured healthcare datasets alongside conventional clinical notes.
  • Experience identifying inconsistencies between documented findings, diagnoses, treatments, and supporting evidence.
  • Chart review, clinical documentation…
