Abrazo Health is seeking a remote overnight diagnostic radiologist to join a well-established private practice in Phoenix, AZ. This 1099 contractor position features a compressed schedule of seven days on followed by fourteen days off with no call responsibilities. The role involves reading primarily ER and inpatient exams with an estimated thirteen wRVUs per hour using a full home reading station provided by the group.
Practice Info
- Fully REMOTE opportunity
- Primarily ER and inpatient exams - high-acuity, fast-paced, clinically meaningful work
- 8 full-time equivalent radiologists and 15 per diem providers
- Subspecialties represented:
Neuro, MSK, Body, Emergency Imaging, Pediatrics, and Nuclear Medicine - Support staff: 1 Physician Assistant
- Credentialing across 3 offices covering Abrazo West, Arrowhead, Central, Scottsdale, and Heart hospitals
Responsibilities
- Read mostly ER and inpatient exams across Abrazo facilities
- Cover overnight hours from 11:00 p.m.
- 7:30 a.m. AZ time on a 7 days on, 14 days off schedule - Handle approximately 13 wRVUs per hour
- Option to pick up additional daytime shifts from 7:30 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. - Option to pick up additional evening shifts from 4:00 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m.
Compensation
- Competitive per-RVU compensation
- Daytime and evening compensation rates discussed with interested applicants
- $30,000 sign-on bonus if temporary privileges are obtained before 5/10/2026 and you cover 10 or more shifts between 5/10 and 5/31/2026

Shift & Schedule
- Contractor/1099 employment type
- Overnight hours: 11:00 p.m.
- 7:30 a.m. AZ time - 7 days on, 14 days off - two full weeks off between every stretch
- No call - ever
- No callback obligations outside your assigned shifts
- Daytime shifts: 7:30 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. - Evening shifts: 4:00 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with A board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
- Active Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Comfortable with general diagnostic radiology with emphasis on ER and inpatient studies
- Suitable home reading environment
