EPATT Tutor (Virtual, K-12) - Part-Time
Location:
Must be located in California (or able to complete fingerprinting in CA) Pay: $22/session
Hours:
Minimum 2 sessions/week (minimum 3 hours/week including prep and professional development) Term:
Ongoing (Fall: Sept-Dec, Spring: Jan-May, Summer: June-July) Mode:
Primarily remote; in-person optional for local candidates
East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring (EPATT) is a nonprofit serving K–12 students since 1988 through academic tutoring, tennis, and enrichment activities. Our mission is to help students become college and career-ready.
Position SummaryDo you want to equip youth for college and career readiness?! Then EPATT tutoring wants you! EPATT Tutors provide 1:1 academic support to students in grades K–12 using EPATT’s curriculum. Subjects include Reading, Math, Science, or SAT Prep.
What We’re Looking For- Located in California and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong understanding of K-12 math, reading, and writing
- College students or graduates preferred (high school seniors with a 3.5+ GPA may apply)
- Organized, responsible, and energetic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with youth from under-resourced communities is a plus
- Comfortable using technology to lead virtual tutoring sessions.
- Able to independently troubleshoot basic tech issues and support students as needed.
- Must use a laptop or desktop computer with a working camera and microphone (iPads/tablets are not compatible).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection required.
- Willing to learn and adapt to new digital tools as needed.
- $22/session
- Eligible for Federal Work Study (if school is partnered with EPATT)
