Position Summary

Working from home, the Part‑time School Psychologist will support students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem solving, assessment and data‑based decision‑making. The primary responsibility is to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessment and diagnostics, focusing on identifying students’ educational, emotional, social and behavioral needs. The psychologist collaborates and consults with educators, families, and other professionals to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.

Position

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychological evaluations for students in grades PK-12.
  • Administer, score and interpret standardized tests to assess cognitive, academic, social, emotional and behavioral functioning.
  • Compile detailed evaluation reports including findings, recommendations and potential interventions.
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents and other staff to gather information, provide insights and promote effective implementation of services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss outcomes and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all evaluations and documentation.
  • Utilize varied assessment and data‑collection models to identify strengths and needs, develop services, and measure progress.
  • Implement cognitive, academic, socialization, learning and mental health supports including behavioral supports, individual and group counseling and social skills training.
  • Deliver professional services that promote effective functioning for individuals, families and schools with diverse characteristics, cultures and backgrounds, ensuring respect for diversity and social justice.
  • Apply research as a foundation for service delivery and collaborate using technology resources for data collection, measurement and analysis.
  • Operate consistently with ethical, legal and professional standards, demonstrating responsive decision‑making and professional characteristics such as responsibility, adaptability, initiative, dependability and technology skills.
  • Stay current with best practices in psychological assessment and school psychology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Accredited graduate degree program at specialist-level or higher (minimum 60 graduate semester hours and a 1,200‑hour supervised internship in School Psychology, with at least 600 hours in a school setting).
  • Current or able to obtain a School Psychologist license/certificate issued by priority states upon hire.
  • National School Psychologist Certification preferred.
  • Proven experience conducting psychological evaluations in a school setting; virtual experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite).
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Highly organized and punctual.
  • Ability to work at least 15 hours during the school day with a consistent weekly schedule, up to 30 hours total per week as assigned.
