Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids, Michigan is currently accepting applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to support the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program. This is an exciting opportunity for innovative and motivated individuals dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and evidence‑based practice, working collaboratively with a dynamic faculty team.
Required Qualifications andEducation:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in audiology or a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.); all‑but‑dissertation candidates will be considered.
- Area of expertise flexible; ASHA certification in Audiology.
- Evidence of effective teaching.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated record and/or potential for active scholarship.
- Commitment to inclusion, equity, and diversity.
- Medical audiology and/or vestibular and balance background.
Essential Functions:
- Teach in the Doctor of Audiology program and undergraduate pre‑professional academic program.
- Provide clinical supervision in the on‑campus clinic.
- Develop a scholarly agenda that is consistent with unit and college expectations.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and the profession.
$102,000 and commensurate with experience.
