This position is a nine-month, full-time, online, non-tenured position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teach four counseling graduate courses per term (Fall and Spring).
  • Mentor/Advise students in the counseling programs.
  • Serve as Lead Teacher on assigned courses.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Candidate must have a Doctorate in Counselor Education and supervision from a CACREP-accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching in non-traditional formats (blended and online courses)
  • Ongoing, demonstrated involvement in the profession as a counselor educator is expected (e.g., membership in ACA, AMHCA, ACES).
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration.
  • Commitment to quality teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings and in-person residency.

Desired:

  • Proficiency in using a learning management system.
  • Evidence of scholarly research and grant writing.
  • Experience teaching multi-cultural populations.
  • School counseling certification.
