Position: Instructional Designer - Remote / Telecommute

Job Description

Pay Range: $34.39/hr - $39.39/hr

Requirement / Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience designing and developing technical or systems-based training materials.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and non-technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience applying instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience
  • Performing training needs assessments and job/task analyses.
  • Developing instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning training solutions.
  • Translating technical documentation into training materials.
  • Facilitating training sessions and train-the-trainer programs.
  • Managing training projects including scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate learning initiatives from needs assessment through design, pilot, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Conduct focus groups and collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs.
  • Design and develop training materials including presentations, job aids, user guides, e-learning, and virtual courses.
  • Interpret complex technical information and convert it into learner-friendly content.
  • Manage client expectations and communicate project status updates.
  • Analyze course effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Schedule courses and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical and operational support for training delivery.
  • Maintain and update course materials to align with best practices and standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training processes.
  • Mentor or support other team members as needed.
Should Have
  • Experience developing training in Agile software development environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or technical environments.
Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Snag It.
  • Experience with eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline or Rise, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia.
  • Familiarity with Adobe creative tools and web conferencing platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
