Salary: £29,565 - £43,562 per annum (subject to progression criteria) *
Annual Leave: 45 days per annum plus bank holidays
Contractual hours: 37 hours per week
Teaching hours: 864 hours per annum

Join Our TeamWe are seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering to join our TTE Engineering team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of qualifications, including Pearson Level 3 BTECs and City & Guilds T Levels. You’ll combine classroom and workshop-based learning to provide students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for careers in electrical maintenance and engineering.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, support student progression, and maintain strong links with industry to ensure our training reflects current practices. A strong background in Electrical Maintenance Workshop and proven competence in Test and Inspection is essential for this role.
As a Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering, you will:
Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment across Electrical and Maintenance Engineering qualifications, including Pearson Level 3 BTECs and City & Guilds Level 3 T Levels.
Provide hands‑on and theoretical instruction in electrical maintenance and related disciplines within classroom and workshop settings.
Support students’ academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.
We seek candidates who:
Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical and Maintenance Engineering and GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Are qualified teachers or willing to work towards a teaching qualification**.
Have current knowledge and/or experience in teaching Electrical & Maintenance Engineering.
Demonstrate effective classroom management, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
Are proficient in preparing teaching materials using Information Learning Technology.
