Location:

Kodland City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Kodland is a fast‑growing international digital school on a mission to help kids and teens unlock their creativity through coding, design, and digital skills. Thousands of students worldwide have already built their first websites, games, and digital projects with our support — and now we’re looking for passionate tutors to join us.

About the Role

Are you a programmer who loves coding and gaming? At Kodland, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion into impact by inspiring the next generation of creators. You’ll teach kids and teens how to design their own Roblox games, guiding them step by step as they bring their ideas to life. No prior experience with Roblox Studio? No problem — we’ll provide full training to help you succeed.

This is a fully remote role, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere, as long as you’re available during UK teaching hours (afternoons/evenings on weekdays and mornings on weekends).

Responsibilities
  • Deliver fun, interactive Roblox Game Design lessons using our ready‑to‑teach materials.
  • Inspire students to create their first Roblox games and digital projects while building confidence in coding.
  • Track student progress, celebrate achievements, and provide guidance throughout their learning journey.
  • Share lesson feedback and contribute creative ideas to improve the learning experience.
  • Develop your teaching skills with support from experienced Kodland mentors.
  • Participate in mock lessons, training, and community events to enhance your skills and connect with other tutors.
Requirements
  • Programming knowledge (Python preferred).
  • Passion for teaching children and teenagers.
  • Availability for at least 10 hours per week during:
Weekdays 3–9 pm GMT, Weekends 9 am–7 pm GMT.
  • Tech setup: stable internet (min 20 Mbps), webcam, headset, and quiet workspace.
  • A willingness to learn — we’ll provide Roblox Studio training and full onboarding.
Why Join Kodland?
  • Global Community – Connect with tutors worldwide through Slack, share experiences, and grow your network.
  • Motivation & Bonuses – Earn extra through our performance‑based bonus system.
  • Professional Growth – Get regular feedback from education experts and access additional resources to improve your teaching.
  • Career Development – Many of our tutors have grown into new roles at Kodland thanks to our culture of continuous growth.
  • Flexibility & Freedom – As a freelance tutor, your income depends on your availability and the number of classes you teach. There’s no fixed cap — the more active you are, the more opportunities you can take on.
  • Real Impact – See your students go from beginners to creators, and know you’ve made a difference.
